Most of you may have seen this on tv . Some of you might have even read this book. You thought highly of the book as well as the man [damn u even thought this "hindu" gave u freedom ad was the first pm of india]
I bring forward a passage from this book-[page no 37 Discovery of india]
++HINDUISM as a faith is vague, amorphous, many sided, all things to all men. It is hardly possible to define it, or indeed to say definitely whether it is a religion or not, in the usual sense of the word. In its present form, and even in the past, it embraces many beliefs and practices, from the highest to the lowest, often opposed to or contradicting each other."++

Now what sort of a hindu could be driven to say this. to tell u the truth he was not a hindu .amazed r u pls visit my earlier posts and visit [www.swordoftruth.com\swordoftruth\archives\oldarchives\archive.html]

You may also have heard the infamous story of the "mahatma" gandhi telling sardar patel{a true patriot}
to let jawahar nehru to become pm [ sardar patel was not only more capable than nehru but also more liked by the people and the other members of inc]

Once nehru had remarked that "shivaji was a theif"
This caused great uproar in the country and nehru had to publicly apologize for his mistake
and said"Shivaji did not belong to Maharashtra alone; he belonged to the
whole Indian Nation. Shivaji was not an ambitious ruler anxious
to establish a kingdom for himself but a patriot inspired by a vision
and political ideas derived from the teachings of the ancient
philosophers."

chirag ji,even if one believes 'sword of truth'..those statements of nehru do NOT make him un-hindu...
Hinduism ,by its very mature is open to interpretation..it has no dogmas..i guess that is all that Nehru wanted to say...
