After the disturbing news of Chauhans intension to come back to India, a good news is that Mr.Altaf Hussain, the supreme leader of Mohajirs in Pakistan wants to meet Mr.Atal Bihar Bajpayee.
This good man, like many million others got way laid by a dream to Pakistan and have suffered humiliation in Pakistan ever since,
wants to use good offices of Bajpayee and bring pressure on
Human Rights Organisation all over the world and focus their attention on the plight of Mohajirs in Pakistan.
Irony of fate is; General Musharraf himself is a Mohajir.
It is high time India gives up the self styled high moralistic politics and play proactive "REAL" politics

Nice post Arun,
Now the question is, who is gonna take that initiatives, govt like Bajpayee, who didnt utter a single word for their poll agenda like Ram Mandir and removel of Article 370, or any other party leader like Mulayam singh (whose bringing million of Bengladeshi to get their vote) or Sonia gandhi whose basic and soul aim to become PM of India.
We always been a good neighbour otherwise we could used this Mohajir thing and make one more part of Pakistan say Mohjiristan, or atleast we can play Sia or sunny card and fuel the movement by giving them aid to fight with Paki government.
You said proactive "REAL" politics, bhai humne politicians ke naam per Hijro ki foj bitha rakhi he, believe me man, sometime I thought, why dont some group stand against this politians and kill them, I am ready to fund them as much as I can afford.
..... sounds like an oxymoron.
But, if the guy is good and meeting him brings us closer to getting anything to beat Pak in this game, a few minutes of PMs time may be worth it.

Rahul, I don't think that the hijra community will like this comment of you. It is insane to compare our corrupt polititians with hijras.

This is the same guy who sang "Sare Jahan se achcha, Hindustan Hamara" at Landon?
What is his intention? To have separate nation, or to join with India?
I agree with you all. This is high time we should play our all cards right. There is no point stepping back or sitting just watching.
There are lots of dreams people have seen in this government - may be we are not that much lucky - we have fauj of hijaras (eNri - what other comparision we can make?)

Ha ha!! it's a dream that Vajpayee will invite him.The morality brigade of India will be set into instant action.Questions will be raised about the double standards of India, that India cannot meddle in the internal matters of Pakistan just as it does not like Pakistan always meddling in Indias internal affairs.
The people with the so called high morality would say that India should rather honour Pakistans sovereignity than give them a taste of their own medicine.
It's best that India does not invite him as that would mean political uncertainity and an insult to India's secular fabric.

Just saw an interview of the guy.....yaar sabse pehle to koi ise yeh samjhaaye ke harr jagah rally naheen chall rahi hoti.....cameray pe aise bol raha tha jaise hazaaraon mein janta dekhne aayi ho ....
Again when he was asked about his favourite shaayar he repeated the same saare jahaan se achha thing...and he did say ke if Pakistan keeps branding him a RAW agent he will have no choice but to become one....
Very pro India in fact more Indian than many of us but you never know because the situation he is in is unenviable and he needs support from all sides so why hes doing this no one knows....but yeah tilt to bhaiya bohat hai India ki taraf....
Problem again is apan logaan ne agar khullan khulla support kiya to pakistani logaan bolte ke tumaa ko kya milta mohajjiraan ki maalish karr ke??

This guy Hussain is a sycophant. He is a shwerd Politician. There is no reason why one should trust him. If he wants to fight for mohagirs, why does he need to stay in London or for that matter, why does he need Indian help. Why can't he just move to Karachi and fix the problems himself?

Ravi,
Do u honestly think the Nagas and Kashmiris would be able to push their agenda by staying in India? And India is a democracy! What chance would Altaf have of STAYING ALIVE in dictatorial(even their 'democratic' govts. are sponsored by their military) Pakistan to carry on his work?
