AIDS is a disease which is caught by one of the following means -

1) Blood transufsion with infected blood
2) Exposure of one's body fluids to an infected person's body fluids.

Now, AIDS is not a disease like cancer which strikes without any warning. AIDS is preventable - Keep that fly zipped!

Out here, we get so many ads on radio about HIV AIDS on the radio and many exhort you to donate more money for "AIDS awareness" programs.

AIDS has been around for more than 10 years now. Most literate people know how AIDS is contracted. Yet the numbers of new infections is increasing. What's wrong? Is the awareness campaign not working? Or is it that people are just being plain stupid? Should governments spend more money for AIDS awareness?

the aids awareness program is still in it's infancy. give it a chance.
just today it has been announced that in britain the number of aids cases has increased for the first time in several years. i think people became complacent in the west thinking the disease was under control. so the news has come as somewhat of a shock to the system.

aids awareness programs have to succeed or entire nations can be wiped out.
