Suggest a good 3d paint package

I was looking for a simple 3D paint package for text effects. My aim is to try and experiment with Text and give it 3D effects. Offcourse I dont want to buy a full blown animation and jazz package. I wish to have a simple shareware utility. :)

Lomg ago I used to play with Crystal Graphics 3D for making quick text logos. I was looking for something like that. I thought I will play with it to come up for a nice new logo for eCharcha.Com :)

I also wanted to dabble around, but I dont mind someone making some nice logos for eCharcha.Com and coming with some nice skins themes... Sorry I am not in position to buy any services or software and hence I was thinking of dabbling in it.

Dhurandar Bhatt ko bulao koi... he was great when it came to graphics. I thinks the current EC logo bhi designed by him hai, nahin??

No current logo was only recolored by Dhuru for sake of the Corporate color scheme. Original logoi design by Shri.
