a poll taken in the valley will be useless cauz today only a miniscule non muslim poppulation is there.kashmiri pandits have been driven out of kashmir.hence the poll of the landyas will not be proper as most of em will prefer pakistan.
we should launch an counter attack on the pakistan and capture their territories and make them fall at our feet.
Cease fire by ab vajpayee was a political move that anything else.if ceause fire is taken now then what about the hundres of vallant soilders who have died in klashmir fighting those uneducated,uncivilized,irrational,foolish,landyas...........

This is not a question of j&k being with india or pakistan,i guess this is the question of kashmiris having peace and freedom, put yourself in their place ...i personally think that kashmiris should be given their own independent state, not with pak or ind, but just their own place with their own ppl governing

Nuclear war is not just going to affect Pakistan but also India. Can we really afford a war? Do you honestly think that India can survive another war in terms of economy and rehabilitation of destroyed places during war - let alone a nuclear war!

Does India have the strenght to re-build it self like Japan did after the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings?

Wake up... war is not going to be a solution. Israel has been aggressive all these years.. but is there peace in the Middle East?

Nuclear weapons are more like deterrents for a war.

What needs to be done is a strict enforcement of our policies towards Kashmir and if necessary strong actions like those in Kargil. But not a full scale war! I dont think India can sustain a war. Forget what will happen to Pakistan after a war, but think about India and also theinternational scenario if we go for war.

Maybe I am naive at all this, but I am sure defense experts like padhu can throw more light.

All the atrocities penetrated upon kashmiris are by pakistani sponsored terrorists.
Kashmir has always been an integral part of india and there is noreason to give it away.
Instead more stringent methods should be used against pakistan directly rather than killing militants.
Attack the root and the branches will fall immideately.

Sinclara, According to your logic, tomorrow if TN wants to have a separate state we give it to them and if the day after if Punjab wants to separate we give them an ok. And if this continues, BT will definitely ask for an independent Maharashtra.

Do you think US will agree if Alaska or California would like to separate?

Let's say we are the generous India and do give Kashmir its independence, do you think Pakistan is going to leave them alone. Will Pakistan give independence to PoK. What about the part of Kashmir they have sold to China?

If indeed a poll needs to be taken, the Hindu Pundits should be sent back home. PoK and CoK should also take a poll.
