my problem was the image size was not accepted by this said web.

YOu need to go to Edit Profile and do it.
You can select o upload your own avatar but it has size and dimension limitations. Basically it should be the same size as the other avatars you see here.

follow this procedure

click on 'edit ur profile' on the top of page -----> choose 'change options' ---->click on 'change avatar (last option viz You can upload an avatar from your computer ------>

now the most common formats that u can use is JPG or GIF images but make sure the file size doesnt exceed 20000 bytes i.e roughly 19.5 Kb

if u have a image bigger in size i.e more than 50 x 50 pixel...try reducing it by using paint brush in windows and if the size on disk is bigger...u can use adobe photoshop etc to reduce the quality of image n hence the size of same on disk

now that u r done...save this image on ur HD or floppy and in the edit 'options' menu use the browse feature to locate the same n hit the 'submit modification' button n u r DONE ;)
