Though the " Shawshank Redemption" I am talking about was good but not all that good and moreoever it was basically a remake of "Escape from Alcatraz"

The shawshank redemption which I saw is basically a remake of the 70's film with Clint Eastwood named " ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ." Everything in that happens in this, and though they might be both BASED on true stories, I think the directors of Shawshank Redemption took a few creative liberties, and copied off ALCATRAZ because no one's heard of that movie.

Don't get me wrong, SHAWSHANK is good, just not as great as you or Big-G wud want to believe .
