Nortel Announced that its laying off 7000 people, which is 17% of its current employees.
In Dec 2000 they had 95,000 employees..... kya major workforce reduction hai.

The stock market dipped slightly as well today.

It feels great to be secure man.. what with all the job cuts and more cuts and more cuts. They had a huge head rolling cerimony at our company some time back but our team was not touched (as usual). Come to think of it none of our team guys were even nervous.
